Storyline:
A young man, in 1940 in Alabama raises a family after his wife goes to an Englishman moved to England. When the wife dies, she leaves the application is returned to Alabama to be buried, and then people not having seen her for nearly 30 years. The two families - her own family she abandoned and her English family - meet and try to adjust to each other, with uneven results.
